Warranty Policy
Version 1.1 Effective 1st January 2021
Unless otherwise specified in this policy, the warranty policy below applies to all new products sold by PAVT in Australia or New Zealand.
Australian Consumer Law Guarantee
All our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure.
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
PAVT reserves the right to make this judgment. Without detracting from these rights, PAVT excludes all liability for:
- Loss that is not reasonably foreseeable.
- Negligence, loss of income, loss of expenditure related to the product, or loss of enjoyment.
Scope of Warranty
- Applicable Region: Purchases made within Australia and New Zealand only. This overrides any international warranty offered by the manufacturer.
- Exclusions: Purchases outside of Australia and New Zealand are not covered. Any false representation of these conditions, either verbal or written, from the place of purchase will not be deemed binding.
PAVT, acting as the distributor for manufacturers, offers this “warranty against defects” if the conditions below are met.
Conditions of Warranty
- Warranty Coverage
PAVT undertakes to repair or replace, free of charge, any defective parts or faults deemed to be due to defective workmanship within the warranty period. - Eligibility Criteria
The following conditions must be met for warranty service:- (a) Proof of purchase (e.g., sales docket) is provided.
- (b) The unit was purchased from an authorized dealer appointed by PAVT.
- (c) No unauthorized repairs were attempted.
- (d) The unit’s serial number is intact and unaltered.
- (e) The unit is delivered to PAVT (4/621 Whitehorse Road, Mitcham 3132, VIC, AUSTRALIA) in its original packaging or equivalent protective packaging.
- (f) The unit was not damaged by electrical or power surges.
- (g) The unit was operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered by the warranty:
- Minor faults or deviations that do not affect the product’s value or fitness for its intended purpose.
- Wear and tear, or damage caused by dropping, crushing, soaking, or exposure to extreme conditions (e.g., temperature, voltage, electromagnetic fields).
- Accessories (e.g., rechargeable and disposable batteries).
- Improper use, including mechanical damage or incorrect voltage.
- Unauthorized modifications.
- Pre-existing faults known at the time of purchase.
- Products purchased at auctions or from unauthorized dealers.
Limitation on Warranty
PAVT shall not be liable for:
- Damage to other property caused by product defects.
- Inconvenience, loss of use, loss of time, data, or commercial loss.
- Incidental or consequential damages.
User-Generated Data
Data stored on the product may be lost during repair. Save all data before returning the product for service.

You can initiate a warranty claim at the point of purchase or by contacting PAVT.

Request a return authority form and submit it with all relevant details before sending the faulty unit.
Shipping Charges
- Customers are responsible for shipping costs to PAVT or the dealer and for the risk of loss or damage during transit.
- Approved warranty claims will include return shipping costs covered by PAVT.
Loan Equipment
Loan or demo units may be available.
- Faulty items must be returned to PAVT within 7 working days of receiving a loan unit, or the loan item will be invoiced.
- Loan equipment shipping charges are non-refundable.
